Irish Troops Return to Dublin Airport Following a Six Month Deployment with UNIFIL in South Lebanon.

​232 Irish troops from the 114th Infantry Battalion, United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) will return to T1, Dublin Airport tonight, 18th November at 2.45pm following a six month deployment.

The personnel will be met by their families and friends in the Arrivals Hall. The 114th Infantry Battalion are drawn primarily from 2 Brigade with personnel mainly drawn from the North West of Ireland.

A total of 451 Defence Forces personnel deployed with the 114th Infantry Battalion. Some of the contingent have already returned home having rotated with members of 115th Infantry Battalion.
