Army Bomb Disposal Team called to Amien Street, Dublin.

The Defence Forces deployed the team to where a suspect device was found on a raised ledge outside Connolly Station by the Gardai.

The device has been classified as a non viable Improvised Explosive Device.

The team arrived on scene at 10.40am, the scene was declared safe at 11.10am and the device was removed to a secure military location for further examination. 

The remains of the device will be handed over to the Gardai for their investigations.

This is the 4th IED dealt with by Bomb Disposal Teams in the last 24 hours and the 84th call out so far this year.
