The Fleet
The current fleet comprises four (4) Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) ,two (2) Large Patrol Vessels (LPV) and two (2) Inshore Patrol Vessels (IPV) . Each vessel is equipped with state of the art machinery, weapons, communications and navigation systems. The two (2) Inshore Patrol Vessels (IPV) are equipped with Electronic Warfare and intelligence gathering capabilities.
The Fleet
The NS Fleet keeps the tradition of naming its vessels after famous women from Irish and Celtic mythology and famous Irish writers, celebrating Ireland in the international forum.
