The Defence Forces Press Office are aware that a number of photographs are being circulated from various locations in Lebanon.
In many cases, the locations depicted in these images are identifiable, which raises concerns about inadvertently exposing UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) posts or nearby areas. Such exposure could make these locations potential targets and endanger the safety and wellbeing of UNIFIL personnel.
To mitigate this risk and prevent any breaches of Operational Security, we request that all photographs and video imagery pertaining to the ongoing situation in Lebanon be submitted to the Defence Forces Press Office for verification prior to publication or online sharing. Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining the security and safety of UN personnel and operations.
