National Day of Commemoration

The National Day of Commemoration to all Irishmen and Irishwomen who died in past wars or on service with the United Nations. This year it will take place on Sunday 14th July 2019 (the nearest Sunday to the date) the anniversary of the date in 1921 that a truce was signed ending the Irish War of Independence.
The principal ceremony on this day will be held in the Collins Barracks, Dublin.
