Army Reserve - Organisation

The Army Reserve (formerly An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil) comprises three brigades, organised around the standard infantry brigade model, and the Reserve Defence Forces Training Authority. These brigades mirror the organisation of the Permanent Defence Force and each unit within the Reserve Brigades has an affiliated Permanent Defence Force unit with which it has a direct working and support relationship.
