Naval Service Uniform

The Army have several dress categories that are worn at various times during military life.


Service Dress no.1

Female OfficersService Dress No.1 is worn on occasions such as Informal Receptions, Courts-martial depending on role, Church Parades, attending Civil Courts, on foreign Naval Vessels, Military Funerals when not on duty.

Officers

Officers wear a Peaked Cap, black tunic and trousers, white shirt, black tie, black leather shoes, black leather gloves. White gloves are worn when Liaison Officer for foreign naval vessels and VIPs.

Female officers wear a tricorn hat and a skirt.

Warrant Officers & Petty Officers

Petty OfficerWarrant Officers to Petty Officers wear a Peaked Cap, black tunic and trousers, white shirt, black tie and black shoes.

 

 

 

 

Leading Seamen and Seamen

RatingLeading Seamen and Seamen wear Cap No.1, black Serge Coat and trousers, white front vest, Blue Jean Collar, lanyard, blue scarf and black leather shoes.

Service Dress No.2

Service dress No.2 is worn while performing administrative and routine duties.

 

 

 

 


Working Dress

Working dress is worn by ships personnel at sea and on occasions such as range practices. Ratings in work parties also wear working dress.

Officers

RatingOfficers wear black beret with badge, woolen navy jersey with rank insignia, blue shirt, trousers and black leather boots or shoes.

Safety boots are worn while onboard ship.

Warrant Officers & Petty Officers

Warrant Officers to Petty Officers wear black beret with badge, woolen navy jersey with rank insignia, blue shirt, trousers and black safety boots.

Leading Seamen and Seamen

Leading Seamen and Seamen wear black beret with badge, woolen navy jersey with rank insignia, blue shirt, trousers, black safety boots and knives clasp.
