Monday, 19 March - Air Corps Complete Time Critical Air Ambulance Mission.

The Air Corps successfully completed the transfer of a priority one patient from Dublin to London, Heathrow on the CASA fixed wing Aircraft overnight in response to a request from the Health Service Executive Ambulance Control Centre.

The priority one patient was brought to Baldonnel under Garda escort from the mid west and departed Casement Aerodrome at 10.30pm last night and arrived in Heathrow at 1145pm.

The patient was brought to a waiting ambulance on arrival and transferred by road to hospital.

This is the Air Corps 20th Air Ambulance Mission of 2012. The Air Corps maintains dedicated aircraft and crew on standy-by for the Air Ambulance transfer of patients within the State and internationally. 

The Air Corps provides a dedicated Air Ambulance Service to the State in line with the roles assisgned by the Government to the Defence Forces.
