Army Bomb Disposal Team makes safe viable Improvised Explosive Device on Dunsink Lane.

An Army Bomb Disposal Team made safe a viable Improvised Explosive Device in Dunsink Lane, Dublin last night.

The team arrived on scene at 11.25pm in response to a request by the Gardai.

The device was made safe at the scene and removed to a military installation for further analysis.

The scene was declared safe at 00.25am, and  the remains of the device will be handed over to the Gardai for their investigations.

This is the 156th call out for Army Bomb Disposal Teams and the 27th viable IED made safe by the Defence Forces this year.
