Army Bomb Disposal Team makes safe viable Improvised Explosive Device in Tallaght.

 An Army Bomb Disposal Team made safe a viable Improvised Explosive Device in Jobstown, Tallaght early this morning.

The Defence Forces deployed the team to an address at Glenshane Close, Jobstown in response to a request by the Gardai.

The team arrived on scene at 0.45am and made a viable IED safe by means of a controlled explosion.

The scene was declared safe at 2.30am and the remains of the device were handed over to the Gardai for their investigations.
