Viable Device Made Safe Outside Letterkenny Business Premises.

An Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (E.O.D.) Team made safe a viable device outside a business premises in the Pearse Rd. area of Letterkenny last night.
Following a request from the Gardai our team deployed and arrived on scene at 04.55 am; the E.O.D. officer then assessed the device, confirmed it as viable and carried out a controlled explosion on the device in order to make it safe. The scene was declared safe at 06.20 am.
This is the 16th viable device that our teams have dealt with so far this year.
