Army Bomb Disposal Team makes safe nine viable Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Swords.

An Army Bomb Disposal Team made safe nine viable Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Swords this afternoon.
The team arrived on scene at 1.50 pm following a request by the Gardai. The Devices were made safe at the scene and removed for further examination. No controlled explosion was carried out. A quantity of suspect components was also removed.
The devices and components will be handed over to the Gardai for their investigations.
The scene was declared safe at 4.30 pm.
