Chad Troop Rotation
200 members of 102 Battalion will deploy to Chad on Sunday 07 February 2010. The deployment represents the final phase of a scheduled rotation with the 101 Battalion. The first half of the 400 strong Battalion travelled to Chad on 25 January 2010.
Commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Mick Murray, the 102nd Battalion deploys following months of preparatory training which concluded with the Ministerial Review in Dundalk on Tuesday 12 Jan 2010. The tour of duty will last for four months, ending in June 2010.
