Army Bomb Disposal Team makes safe viable Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Palmerstown

An Army Bomb Disposal Team made safe a viable Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at an address in Whitethorn Crescent, Palmerstown overnight.
The team arrived on scene at 2.45 am in response to a request by the Gardai. A viable device was made safe at the scene and removed for further examination. No controlled explosion was carried out and the scene was declared safe at 3.48 am. The device will be handed over to Gardai for their investigations.
