28 June 2012 - Army Bomb Disposal Team Makes Safe Viable Grenade .
An Army Bomb Disposal Team made safe a viable grenade in Donoughmore, Co Cork this afternoon.
The Defence Forces deployed a Team to a farmhouse in Donoughmore, Co. Cork following a request from Gardai.
The Team arrived on scene at 2.00pm where a WWII era grenade was found in an old out building during renovations.
The grenade was removed to waste ground where it was made safe through use of a controlled explosion; the scene was declared safe at 3.30pm.
This is the 105th call out for Bomb Disposal Teams so far in 2012.
