Army Vehicles - General Service Vehicle
The General Service (GS) vehicle is the workhorse of the Defence Forces Transport Corps. They are highly mobile and flexible vehicles capable of performing a wide variety of roles. There are currently over 500 vehicles in service that fit this vehicle standard.
General Service vehicle Standard
- Jeep type 4x4 military vehicle fitted for radio.
- Capable of carrying four fully equipped military personnel in reasonable comfort with capacity for a fifth passenger in the rear compartment.
- 5 door accessibility.
- Gross vehicle weight in the range of 3,000kg.
- Minimum payload of 750kg
